The Unit Trust Consultant's information is collected in order to avail the Unit Trust Consultant of Public Mutual Berhad and to enable Unit Trust Consultant to enjoy access to other online services offered by Public Mutual Berhad. The Unit Trust Consultant herewith refers to online registrants, or Online Guests who use our online services.

To ensure seamless service across our corporate structure, this Policy and the protections herein extend to the broader Public Bank Group, which includes Public Bank Berhad, its branches, subsidiaries and all associated companies.

The company reserves the right to amend this Privacy Policy from time to time without prior notice. We encourage you to review our Privacy Policy from time to time.

1. SECURITY OF INFORMATION
Public Mutual Berhad is committed to using its best endeavours to maintain high computer security standards and procedures in order to safeguard the Unit Trust Consultant’s Information. To this end, Public Mutual Berhad has in place control systems to ensure security and confidentiality of the Unit Trust Consultant's information at all times. These security standards and procedures shall be maintained notwithstanding that the company-Unit Trust Consultant relationship may have been terminated or otherwise ended. Nevertheless, Public Mutual Berhad hereby expressly advises the Unit Trust Consultant that Public Mutual Berhad does not have control over the computer, computer software, systems and/or other incidentals used by the Unit Trust Consultant to access the Site (www.publicmutualutcconnect.com.my) and further that transmission over the Internet cannot be guaranteed, warranted or represented by Public Mutual Berhad to be absolutely secured.

2. DISCLOSURE OF INFORMATION
In accordance with strict compliance to Guidelines by Securities Commission Malaysia, Personal Data Protection Act 2010, other applicable laws and regulations, and apart from the sharing of information between authorised persons of Public Mutual Berhad such as licensed unit trust consultants, unit trust consultants’ uplines and/or Public Bank Group, Public Mutual Berhad will not disclose the Unit Trust Consultant's information to any third party or external organizations without prior consent.

The instances where Public Mutual Berhad will disclose the Unit Trust Consultant information are:

  1. Where you have given permission (whether in writing, verbally or implied by actions);
  2. Where we are required or permitted to do so by law;
  3. Where required or authorized by any order of court; and/or
  4. Where we are required to meet our obligations to any relevant regulatory authority.

3. ACCURACY OF INFORMATION
The Company strives to ensure that Unit Trust Consultant’s Information is accurate and updated. In ensuring this, Unit Trust Consultant is advised to furnish timely, accurate and complete information pertaining their personal details and instructions to Public Mutual Berhad. Records will be updated upon receipt of such information.

4. COLLECTION AND USE OF UNIT TRUST CONSULTANT INFORMATION
Certain personal information of the Unit Trust Consultant as particularized by Public Mutual Berhad from time to time will be required to be submitted to Public Mutual Berhad by the Unit Trust Consultant to enable Public Mutual Berhad to process the Unit Trust Consultant's request for information pertaining to services offered by Public Mutual Berhad for handling queries, evaluating Unit Trust Consultant's clients’ investment needs and/or offering Public Mutual Berhad's products and services.

The information collected includes, but is not limited to:

  • Name, address, email address and telephone number;
  • Age and gender;
  • Identity documents such as National Registration Identity Card (“NRIC”) or passport

The primary purpose of acquiring the information is confined in its use to the provision of access to the Site (www.publicmutualutcconnect.com.my) as well as to evaluate the Unit Trust Consultant's clients’ needs that may arise from time to time. This enables Public Mutual Berhad to facilitate the provision of information pertaining to Public Mutual Berhad's products and services available from time to time.
